The Department of Human Resources has proposed cutting exiting and new developmental disabilities supports, the 3% rate increase for DD providers, and disability training for families and professionals!
We must be unified in saying,
"No Cuts to Disabilities Supports"
There are currently 6,160 people on the community waiting list for a Developmental Disabilities waiver with this list growing by over 1,000 people annually. There are also more than 175 individuals waiting for supports under the Independent Care Waiver Program (ICWP), and we know that there are thousands living right now in nursing homes and other facilities that could benefit from the ICWP support.
The State Agencies have submitted their
budgets to the Governor.
